Over the past two years, we have all tried to reclaim a sense of normalcy in a world ravaged by COVID-19. Through my employment, I have had the opportunity to work from home, stay safe and keep my loved ones close. And every ensuing day seems to bring about another societal challenge or global crisis that tests our resolve and makes us question our faith.
But rather than shrink from the world, I choose to step up and help as many as can.
In this vein, I am announcing my plan to run a 10K to raise funds for the Gleaners Community Food Bank. Back in the day, I’ve raised funds by running marathons for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and The American Cancer Society. In June of 2020, I completed a 10K while raising over $1500 for the State of Michigan’s COVID-19 Response and Recovery Initiative and in April of 2021 I raised $1000 for the Houston Food Bank. As far as I’m concerned, Have Treadmill, Will Fundraise. 😊
Gleaners is an amazing organization that I have been blessed to volunteer at since 2016. And when you’re blessed like I am, you dig down deep – no questions asked. So, here’s an opportunity to do something more and help make a difference.

I’m running for the state of Michigan and the people of Detroit. I’m running to help those facing circumstances beyond their control. I’m running because I am inspired by the good that I see in people and the amazing team members I have the privilege to work with every day. And I’m running so you don’t have to. 😊
