Over the last 15 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has partnered with the Children’s Hospital of Michigan to raise over 13.5 million servings of cereal. Community groups, schools, and businesses work together to fill school buses and trucks with cereal to feed kids as they head into summer vacation. The 2024 Cereal Drive was held on May 31 – June 7, and to date, has raised more than 900,000 servings of cereal. But we’re not done!!
This year, Kroger, iHeart Media and Emagine Theaters are partnering up to extend the Cereal Drive throughout the summer. On select weekends this summer, Gleaners volunteers will be at Emagine Theaters in Canton, Novi, Rochester Hills & Royal Oak. Guests donating to Gleaners (minimum $10), will receive a voucher for a free small popcorn!
