The Macomb County Pharmacists Association consists of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who work in the community and hospital settings, not only as pharmacy staff, but as educators, researchers, specialists, and consultants. We know that an adequate, healthy diet enhances the effects of many medications and understand that people who are struggling to make ends meet may not be able to afford to eat AND pay for their medications. The recent government shutdown and suspension of SNAP benefits only made it more difficult for many local families to afford groceries.
