Winter and the holiday season has always been a difficult time for children and families facing food insecurity – and the last couple of years of inflated grocery prices have added an additional strain. Far too many are faced with the devastating question: “How will we eat?”
In alignment with the firm’s social responsibility plan, the AlixPartners Southfield local market is pleased to partner with Gleaners Community Food Bank, one of our core charities, to host an office-wide food drive from November 1 through 30. This will be a friendly in-office competition between floors to collect $2,000 worth of food items to help feed hungry families this holiday season.
Gleaners is dedicated to achieving a healthy, hunger-free community in Southeastern Michigan. In alignment with one of AlixPartner’s United Nations Sustainable Development goals of “ZERO HUNGER”, this partnership and food drive demonstrates our firm’s commitment to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition for needy children and families.
