It is the mission of Therapeutic Rehabilitation to provide the highest level of quality rehabilitation services to people with traumatic brain injuries in an environment of hope and determination. The rehabilitation services provided involve a comprehensive approach and aspire to maximize each individual’s functional capacity and self-worth.
Therapeutic Rehabilitation has been offering the finest in specialty clinical services such as physical, occupational and speech/language therapy as well as community/work reintegration. In 1986, Therapeutic Rehabilitation was founded by Tracey D.W. Wolfe, here in Michigan. Universal Institute was founded by Jerry and Lisa Lasso, originally in New Jersey, starting in 1989 and in 2012, adding a location in the state of Pennsylvania. The independent companies enthusiastically blended in 2011 and combined, they provide specialty expertise in many strong therapeutic services and job training options.
Known locally as Therapeutic Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Centers, we are a Michigan-based company and a member of the UI Rehab family of service and training companies. We have three locations in Michigan; Berkley, Livonia and Troy. Each location offers a wide range of job training services and options that focus on sectors of the economy that include woodworking, art, retail, technology, design and media. Therapists, along with trade specialists and field professionals, assist our clients in the development and expansion of their skills in all locations as well as community-based job sites.
