At LightGuide, we’re driven by our passion to empower people globally. This fall, November 15-30, we’re acting on that by working with Gleaners to provide food for those in need.
Our donations provide meals to more than 500 partner agencies, including food pantries, soup kitchens, local schools, and others in need throughout Southeast Michigan. Gleaners provides 45 million pounds of food to our community annually, providing more than 104,500 meals a day.
Donations of any type and size make a tremendous impact. Monetary donations help Gleaners source their most needed food items at the most cost-effective prices. For every dollar donated, Gleaners can provide three well-rounded meals. The most requested foods to donate include fresh milk, wholesome grains, and lean proteins (chicken, tuna, peanut butter, etc.).
